Hello Fellow Trial Lawyers and Friends,

This is your invitation to the 2007 Conference of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association. NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS is our theme for 2007. Hope, optimism and a positive attitude is our goal. We are about fun, learning and fellowship.

We will start on Wednesday night with a reception. Thursday and Friday CLE features a packed program with top speakers. Two-hour lunches give plenty of time to dine at one of New Orleans great restaurants.

Thursday night we’ll have a party with parades passing right by the hotel allowing a chance to catch plenty of beads. We will have a buffet and be entertained by Anthony & Tony B, who will keep everyone on the dance floor and up on the stage.

Friday night will be the prestigious War Horse Dinner which is a black tie affair where some of the most outstanding trial lawyers in America will be honored. Awards presented will also include The Tommy Malone Great American Eagle Award and The Mickey Smiley Lighthouse Award.

The fun continues on Saturday morning, following the board meeting, with the Krewe of Tucks Parade. For those not riding on the float there will be a New Orleans style crawfish and shrimp boil at the home of one of our New Orleans members. Saturday night is open for you to dine at your favorite restaurant and we also hope to have a balcony in the French Quarter on Saturday night. New Orleans is the place to socialize and network with friends and the finest lawyers in the nation.

NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS is not just our theme . . . it is our attitude for the whole seminar and all of 2007!

As trial lawyers, we have the honor and privilege to change lives and make a difference in the world. Many of our clients, but for our help, would end up living under a bridge, pushing a shopping cart, in jail or worse.

The goal for this event is to inspire and raise enthusiasm. Many people expect too little of life, they grumble and they settle for less. Success and abundance is not finite, opportunities are limitless. Far too many people come to the fountain of life with a teaspoon instead of a glass. Me? I prefer a tank car.

The STLA and this conference is about helping each other become better lawyers so we can help others. We will strive this week to make a difference in our lives, for our families, our friends, clients and in our communities. Christopher Reeves said, “You can stay in the shallow end of the pool or you can go out in the ocean.”

Live with Passion; always tell the truth; fight to win; and NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS!!

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!!!
