Review of CaseMap 5 by Al Nye

CaseMap is an interesting program. It allows you to put all of the information in an case, people, places, documents, facts and things. Once it’s in the program, you can slice and dice it any way you want. You can sort by cause of action and see all of the ways that you will prove each element. You can sort by witness, so you can see all of the facts you need to prove and documents you need to introduce with that witness, and so forth. It’s a real neat program, but rather abstract. I was going to write a review on it, but Al Nye, the Lawyer Guy beat me to it.  Al’s review is so good, that I’ll just let him tell you about it.

In a nutshell, what CaseMap does is put a friendly face on the facts and issues of your case by allowing you to link them – together with the source of your facts, issues, people, documents, and the law that pertains to your case. This makes CaseMap more than just a database – it's an invaluable case analysis tool. Not only do you benefit by being able to find out anything you want about your case in seconds, CaseMap allows you to thoroughly understand every aspect of your case. ….

My prospective client was so impressed with the report that he hired me on the spot. The end result was within days I was given one the largest retainers I've ever received in my nearly 25 years of practicing law! And this was from the very first case, and first report, I ever generated. Needless to say, I'm sold on the software

The whole review is here. It’s a good review and worth the read. Dennis Kennedy also did a great review of CaseMap in this ABA Law Practice Today  article. Thanks guys, you saved me a lot of time.
